The Venue

The House of Classical Greek Ideas will be hosted on level -1 of the Athens Conservatory, a building adjacent to the emblematic archeological site of the Aristotle’s Lyceum. Its location is at the center of Athens, in an area with intense cultural activity, within walking distance of the Byzantine and Christian Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art, the Benaki Museum, the National Garden, the Kallimarmaro Stadium and the Zappeion Hall.

The Athens Conservatory is a place of culture, artistic expression and creativity. The events that take place there attract audiences of different age groups and interests. It is an ideal place for the implementation of a project concerning the ideas of ancient Greek philosophy. The fact that the “House of Classical Greek Ideas” will be housed at level -1 of the Conservatory, holds a special symbolism of “diving into” a philosophical realm, with the aim of exiting, ascending and returning to the “real” world.
